This 17th cent. oak-beamed inn has a characterful interior that is divided into separate areas with a wood panelled bar to the front and quieter seated areas to the rear. There is a large patio seating area at the front that faces South Green. The building is a rare survivor of the great fire of Southwold (April 1659) that destroyed most of the town.
